Comombo converts documents into digital format that can then be sent to e-mail and fax addresses. To handle this scanner, fax and photocopying setup, you'll need an internet connection and a camera of at least two megapixels.
To install it, Comombo requires initial registration and then takes you step by step through the remianing process. You'll need to register on the developer site free of charge. The Java software that's installed can then dispatch e-mail and fax data over the net. To send documents, you have to scan them with the camera on your phone. You import the file into Comombo and the software converts the image file into TIFF or PDF format.
Alternatively it can combine several photos into one fax or PDF document for batch sending.
This is an ambitious piece of software but does a remarkably good job.
Provides a scanner, fax and e-mail client in one
Excellent image quality
Sends data fast
Data transmissions not free
Turn your camera into a scanner, fax and copier in one. Simply scan documents into your phone and Comombo sends them just as if you had a normal e-mail client or fax at your disposal.
